"Okay, so this isn't really a question. I saw your bulletin, and I would've replied to that directly, but you don't really know me, so that would've been weird.
Shit happens. It happens to all of us, every day. A lot of people say that how happy you are all depends on your attitude.
"Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it."
I fully agree with that. But I've also realized that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things just don't come out right. Sometimes it seems like every time we attempt to make something better, we just make things worse. Sometimes, no matter how much effort you put into something, all you get as a result is disappointing. And yeah, that can definitely make you want to just give up on everything. And to be perfectly honest, it's going to happen a lot in life.
I've learned that if you just focus on the blessings you have, you learn to deal with the burdens without being completely miserable. You're pretty, you seem smart, you have a buttload of musical talent (5 instruments...i only know how to play 3 and i thought i was special :P), and you seem to have some pretty awesome friends. So just hang in there. If there are some things that you can change about your crappy situation, do it. If you can't...then just let it go. Holding on to disappointment is a waste of energy that can be focused elsewhere. Vent on a blog, punch a pillow, close the door and blast music, run until your lungs feel like they're about to burst, idk. Just don't sit still and dwell on it, letting it all get to you.
I'm not sure if you even read until this point, or if you did and now you're just rolling your eyes thinking "give me a fucking break." But if you did, and you're not rolling your eyes, I hope it made you feel at least a little bit better.
Also, I know this probably sounded all religiously preachy. I'm a lot of things, but religious is NOT one of them. I'm too argumentative to fully be okay with any religion, so don't think I'm trying to get you into the whole "You need Jesus!" thing. :]"
they wrote it in my formspring.
and it made me smile.
